"Where there's life, there's hope."
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, #121465
I believe that the choices you make and the things you do make a lot of sense when you consider your life and what has happened to you. I’ll help you make sense of the struggles you're having and the symptoms you’re experiencing and help you get control of your life back.
My style is warm and authentic. My approach is grounded in proven methodologies including Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Structural Dissociation model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment theory, hypnosis, EMDR, and Somatic therapy; while my clients come to me with a variety of life problems, I have extensive training and experience in working with survivors of sexual violence and/or histories of childhood trauma.
Who I Help
I work with adults and couples. People come to me when they want their lives to be different, when they are tired of feeling like they are surviving day-to-day and want more from their lives. Do you struggle with:
Connecting with yourself or others?
Feeling like you’re treading water, just trying to get through the day, afraid there’s something terribly wrong with you?
Always feeling a little off?
Despite being smart and capable, feeling terribly anxious in relationships?
Controlling your emotions?
Feeling like you're always fighting with or sabotaging yourself?
Deep shame and feelings of worthlessness?
Self-destructive coping strategies?
Always feeling 'other' like you don't fit in anywhere?
Having the same fight over and over again, hurting each other despite not wanting to?
Knowing who you really are?
You're not alone. I am intensively trained to work with people with complex childhood trauma, PTSD, dissociative identities, and sexual violence. I also have a deep professional and personal understanding of how feeling unsafe as a child manifests in our adult relationships, and what it's like to feel.... different. So, if you're someone who is struggling with symptoms you don't understand or can't seem to control, I can help.
